Typography & Styling

This page covers the different types of settings relating to typography and styling. It goes through how each control works and provides tips on font usage.

This set of panels will allow you to change the look and feel of your site. From global font settings right down to individual elements on posts and pages. There are two types of controls you need to be familiar with when configuring these.

  • Typography - This group of settings will allow you to choose any font from Google's ever-growing font library, as well as configuring the letter spacing, text transformation, and in some cases, the font size and line-height.

  • Colour Picker - If you've edited colours before in the Colours panel, then you'll already be familiar with this. It's simple to use, just click on the colour you want, or type in the HEX or RGBA value manually. In some cases, you can also set the transparency value.

🔤 About the Fonts

Aubrey provides fonts from Google Fonts, of which there are now over a thousand to choose from! It's a good idea to use the Global Font Settings to configure your fonts. This way, there'll be fewer fonts to load which keeps your page load times down.

Should you wish to take your fonts further, you can edit the fonts on individual elements too. Just be aware that it may add to the number of fonts that you use which will affect page load times and performance.
